The Cider Bus

"Whatever it is that makes the cider bus what it is, there is no doubting that come Wednesday, many festival goers will battle through the traffic heading to the site, trudge to their campsite, set up their tent, sit down on an invariably broken camping chair, and take all in … but the weekend will not have truly begun until they get to the cider bus for that first sip of the golden nectar"

Cider Bus Sparkling Cider
from £3.40

A slightly lighter and sweeter cider than our classic Burrow Hill (50cl, 5.5% abv) . Delicate, floral and juicy. Deliciously refreshing. Found on the Cider Bus at the legendary Glastonbury Festival. The perfect cider for summer days and winter fires.

“Sparkling bright gold colour. Appealing appley aroma, with hints of red apples and the warmth of crumble. Good acidity on the palate with balanced astringency. Overall, a good mouthfeel with appley fruit flavours and a light hint of dark winter spices. A clean finish leaving you wanting to come back for another sip.” Great Taste Awards 2026

We have been selling Burrow Hill Cider at Glastonbury Festival since the very beginning. Firstly out of the back of a landrover, then from a horse-drawn wagon and finally from the legendary Somerset Cider Bus which has been a staple of Glastonbury Festival for the past 35 years. According to the Independent ‘it may be almost as iconic as the Pyramid Stage itself’.

The Bus has also been going to The End Of The Road festival since its start over 15 years ago. There she hosts a disco tent and her steering wheel turns into a DJ booth.

Asides from her two festival weekends The Cider Bus can be found in in our yard every Saturday throughout the spring and summer where she hosts Cider Bus Saturdays with live music and circus in the orchards and a guest food truck. You are invited to just show up and lounge in the orchards for the day. You can find out more about whats on on our events page here.
